Consider a VFD to Lower Your Energy Costs

Posted by IER Services on Feb 25, 2018 2:21:14 PM

Variable frequency drives are also called frequency inverters and AC drives.  These are  electric devices used  to change the utility power source to variable frequency to control an AC motor in variable speed operation.

This adjusts the speed of an HVAC fan,  pump motor or commercial electric motor based on demand. This will help lower your energy costs while also extending the life of the commercial & industrial motor and the mechanical components.

A  HVAC fan or pump motor is either on or off.  There is no in between.  Add a VFD and you will eliminate the initial power surge and mechanical shock when the motor is switched on.
